Surrounded by mish mash of zoos (Washington D.C. National Zoo and The Smithsonian National Zoo), a cathedral (Washington National Cathedral), bistros serving local delicacies, a presidential residence (The White House), antique shops, a theater (Ford’s Theater), a rail station (Metro) and a university (Georgetown University), Kailorama Guest House Woodley Park is the place to be if you want action. It is close to the airport.

Built in 1910 it’s your home away from. No smoking rooms and the entire facility, live evening entertainments, high speed internet access, a night club, and a coffee shop.  You can play the whole 18 holes of golf or just have a round of mini golf. A driving range is available if you want to practice with your driver. There’s also an indoor tennis and fishing if you like something closer to nature.

The service is geared towards personal touch. The Guest House has 4 floors and 18 rooms some with private bath, toilet, and televisions.  Kitchen facilities are common. It has no suites. There’s a complimentary Continental breakfast, complimentary cookies, fruits, breads, and many other amenities. It’s really a homey situation except for the pets. They don’t allow pets into the hotel. For $117 dollars, it beats playing golf on golf club’s ranges.
